Coffee Seeds
The coffee grown in the Giri Region is 100% Arabica and is sometimes compared to Ethiopian, Yirgacheffe/Kenya or Sumatra Mandheling coffee in various cup tests. The crop is mostly Kent with few plants of the variety SL-9 and also a local variety called Cauvery (named after a river in Karnataka).
